The Bhut Jolokia Indian Carbon (or Ghost Pepper, C. chinense) pepper is a slightly different version of the original Bhut Jolokia. The pods tend to be a bit smaller with thinner, bumpier walls. Some say the Indian Carbon is a bit hotter (estimated 800,000 – 1 million SHU). The Indian Carbon plant also tends to be more compact and very prolific. The Indian Carbon is ideal for drying/powdering and grows well in pots.
