Aji Melocoton is one of our favorite non-super hots. In the Baccatum family of peppers, it has a crisp, slightly sweet tropical flavor with just a touch of heat. We have grown it for years. It’s great for fresh dishes, in addition to sauces and drying. Aji Melocoton ripens to a pale peachy yellow with light purple undertones. The plant grows wide and bushy and is super productive – we use tomato cages for this one!
